Adhistana pooja, sathyagraha

An Adhistana pooja followed by a sathyagraha for courage and wisdom to defeat conspiracies against the motherland will be held at the Vihara Mahadevi Park on March 19 at 4pm. A large number of people including members of the clergy are expected to participate.

This is organised by the Surakimu Mawbima National Organisation.

Ghazal concerts

The Indian Cultural Centre, Colombo, in association with the Cultural Affairs and the Arts Ministry and the Governor's Secretariat, Municipal Council and the Eastern Province Culture Department is organising Ghazal concerts by Dr Kumud Diwan in Galle, Kalmunai, Kandy and Colombo.

The Kalmunai concert was held yesterday while the concert in Kandy will be held at the auditorium of the Assistant High Commission of India today at 6.30pm. The final concert will be held in Colombo on March 19 at 6pm at the Kularathne Hall, Ananda College, Colombo.

SJC OBU family Mass

The monthly family Mass 'With the way of the Cross' organised by the batch of '94 of St Joseph's College Old Boys' Union will be held tomorrow at 8am followed by fellowship and breakfast.

AGM

The Annual General Meeting of the Industrial Security Foundation (Sri Lanka) Inc will be held on March 31 at 6pm at The Capri Club, 62, Dharmapala Mawatha, Colombo 3.

Friends of the Accident Service, affiliated to National Hospital, Sri Lanka, will hold its annual general meeting on March 25 at 10.30am at Pegasus Reef Hotel, Hendala, Wattala.

Medical camp

A medical camp organised by Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya Old Girl's Association for teachers and old girls will be held today from 9am to 3 pm.

Around 14 western and ayurvedic clinics will be conducted by 12 consultants of Lanka Hospitals Ltd.

Tests will also be conducted while the National Cancer Control Unit will conduct a cancer screening centre and Vision Care Ltd will conduct an eye testing clinic.
