Recognition for apparel industry youth

The Kalutara phase of the island wide campaign for promoting the Apparel Industry was recently concluded with Kalutara Apparel Star mega show at the Kalutara Public Ground. Chief Guest of the occasion was Ports and Highways Deputy Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardana.

He said the talented youth in the apparel industry is a blessing to the country.

"Apparel Industry makes the biggest contribution to country's revenue. You are a valued resource to us. If there was a time this industry and your job was not recognized in the society, that period is over. Today everybody acknowledges your contribution to the economy and respects you for your service to the country," the deputy minister as he inspired the audience.
