Kuchchaveli PS condemns US resolution

The Kuchchaveli Pradeshiya Sabha in a motion passed on February 28, condemned the proposed resolution sponsored by the US against Sri Lanka.

The motion also addressed to the US ambassador in Sri Lanka inter alias states: "Our country was on the verge of collapse for three decades, because of the internal conflict. When our great leader President Mahinda Rajapaksa came to power he was able to finish the internal war successfully. As a result, all the people of our country live in peace and independence.

"Now our country is engaged in development under the Mahinda Chinthana and also all the children and students in our country are able to follow their studies in a calm environment without any hindrance. Sri Lanka is a small island in this world.

"However, the President builds up our country as a successful one, without any partiality."
