Navy in the final

Sailor Malik Migara assured their place in the final with a winning goal in the 3rd minute to defeat Sri Lanka Army SC in the first semi final of the Champions of the Champions knock out tournament at City Football League on Sunday.

Navy SC could not expect more from Migara as he positioned himself from the left flank to kick the ball all the way for 15 yards into the soldiers’ goal. It was indeed a battle as Army who were desperately looking for the equalizer and missed a few opportunities with that of all the corner kicks they did not make use of.

Navy SC will meet the winners of the second semi final which will be played between Ratnam SC and Don Bosco SC on March 10.

The final will be worked off on March 17 at the same venue.
