Four new power sets for KV line

The Sri Lanka Railways (SLR) has deployed four new power sets on the Kelani Valley line and main line. One new power set will operate on the Kelani Valley line from Colombo Fort to Homagama while the other three power sets are for the main line from Colombo Fort to Veyangoda and Mahawa, a SLR spokesman said.

The power sets operating on the Kelani Valley line up to Homagama will commence at 7pm from Colombo Fort while the other power set operating up to Veyangoda will commence at 3.20pm from the Colombo Fort. Meanwhile, two double power sets also operate on the main line from Colombo Fort to Mahawa.

One double power set will commence operations at 9 am while the other double power set will start at 6.10 pm from Colombo Fort.
