First innings win for St. Benedict

St.Benedict's College registered a first innings win in their inter-schools under 19 match against Lumbini MV which concluded at Kotahena yesterday.

Lumbini scored 163 in their first innings. SachinPeiris (2 for 30) and ArjunaPerera (2 for 6) were the most impressive among the bowlers. In reply, St.Benedict's College piled up 250 for five (declared) with the help of ArjunaPerera who scored 104 including 14 boundries and SameeraSandamal who added 60 runs including five boundaries.

Lumbini, in their follow up scored 69 for six wickets.DamithPriyadarshana was the only successful batsman with 29 runs. Benedictines won by First innings.

Lumbini MV :163(overnight) and 69 for 6 (DamithPriyadarshana 29, SachinPeiris 2 for 30 , Arjuna Perera 2 for 6)

St.Benedict : 250 for 5 (declared) (ArjunaPerera 104, SameeraSandamal 60, Jason Perera 21, Thilina Silva 28.
