Thurstan – Isipathana one-dayer on March 4

Thustan versus Isipathana thirty second limited over match for the W.A.De Silva Trophy will be played at the P. Sara Stadium on Sunday, March 4. Chief guest is Jayantha Paranathala (Rtd – DIG, Captain of the Isipathana 1970 and first Isipathanian to represent Sri Lanka). Guest of honour is Nimal Warusavithana. The Series is led by Thurstan sixteen to fifteen. Thurstan won this limited over encounter (2007 – 2011) in five consecutive years. If Isipathana have any hope to win this title they have to contain Thurstan's strong battling line-up led by skipper Sanjeewa Salgodo best batsman in the big match. Isipathana has a strong batting line up too including “Man of the Match’ in the BIG match, Vice Captain Deshan Jayakumar.
