The 150 room Ozo Colombo hotel is expected to boost the local economy through business traveller and tourism stays as well as employment opportunities in construction and operations. The three-star hotel will cater to a segment of business and leisure travellers by providing stylish accommodation and features which are pre-requisites of such guests.

A joint venture by business personality Bob Kundanmal, veteran hotelier and former Managing Director of the family owned Confifi Group of Hotel Stefan Furkhan and its Singaporean investors Rajan Bharvani and Manu Bhojwani, Sino Lanka Hotels will launch two other properties in Galle and Kandy within the next three months. The OZO brand in Sri Lanka collectively operating over 410 rooms across three properties, the developers said they were proud to help make a positive impact on Sri Lanka's tourism industry.

"We are excited to begin this project and to play a key role in developing tourism in our country. We identified a need for sophisticated and stylish world class three star accommodation in Colombo and are happy to work collaboratively with Onyx to make it happen," Sino Lanka Hotels Chairman Bob Kundanmal said.

"We are pleased to be able to deliver a leading global brand to the local market," Sino Lanka Hotel Holdings Director Stefan Furkhan said. We wanted to leverage on foresight to offer first-class facilities at mid-price levels. Ozo will better accommodate a range of guests lodging needs for business and leisure and we have found the perfect locations for these properties, added Furkhan.
