The Indian Ocean Naval Symposium
(IONS) Operational Workshop, hosted by the Sri Lanka Navy
commenced yesterday at the Galadari Hotel,Colombo on the
directives of Sri Lanka Navy Commander Vice Admiral
Somathilaka Dissanayake. The two-day workshop is conducted
on the theme ‘Enhancing Operational Efficiency through
Sharing of Information and Coordination’. Representatives
from Australia, Bangladesh, Iran, France, Indonesia, India,
Kenya, Kuwait, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa,
Tanzania, Thailand and United Arab Emirates participate in
