Pathma Wijesinghe’s aesthetic life spent in Paris has sharpened her inborn creativity clearing the path to her own unique style. She is professionally talented and has been an active artist through the decades. She has taken part in art exhibitions most of which were held in Paris.

Her next solo painting exhibition is to be held in Sri Lanka at Lionel Wendt Art Gallery. Sri Lankan art lovers will get an excellent chance to enjoy Pathma’s exceptional creativity with the opening ceremony on March 2 at 6 pm. The exhibition will remain open on March 3 and 4 from 10 am to 8 pm.

Commenting on Pathma’s artistic capability, Channa Ekanayaka said: “forms of abstract with vibrant colour patches which are applied boldly and rapidly take the observer into an inner journey. The thick layers build up texture which can be achieved only by a master’s hand. Pathma’s aesthetic life in Paris brought forth her own style which expresses her strong individuality.”

As an active member of the ‘Paris 17 Artistes Circle’ she had participated in many art exhibitions held in leading art galleries in Paris. Her paintings which were displayed in International Lions Club exhibition and Christmas exhibition in 2006 brought her fame in Paris art society. Pathma has been awarded the Bronze diploma certificate from the France World Cultural Centre, and as a female artist, she has achieved much which bring glory to Sri Lanka.
