D.S.Senanayake College Colombo, is in a greater position in the season having claimed three outright wins and five first innings wins. They have a plenty of experience playing against some pioneer schools in school cricket including Royal, St.Sebastians, Isipatana, Ananda, Nalanda, St. Aloysius, Prince of Wales and Lumbini Colleges.

The team is steered up with the captaincy of third year player , wicket keeper and batsman Lasith Abeyratne. He has been able to collect a total of 600 runs in 15 matches this season with his highest individual score of 111 runs against Royal College Colombo , including 15 boundaries and four sixes. Also , he is playing in the under 19 national squad too.

Senior player and right arm off spinner Saveen Cyril is the Vice Captain of the side. Saveen of course helped his alma mater bagging a total of 29 wickets in 15 matches with a best effort of four for 22 against Prince of Wales College , Panadura. This is Third year being in the squad.

Left hander batsman Duleeka Brahmanage is the next strength of the D.S.Senanayake College batting department , having scored 470 runs in 13 matches. He has contributed a lot for placing the D.S.S.C. under 19 team on the winning path. His highest individual score was against Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa(64).This is his second year in the under 19 squad.

First year player and left hander Uvin Bandara is the next star batsman of D.S. side. He has scored more than 470 runs in the on going cricket season with a higher individual score of 89 runs against Lumbini Maha Vidyalaya.

All rounder Supun Madusanka , who has been able to add a plenty of variety in to the team has succeeded with 49 wickets for the season with a best effort of seven for 74 against Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala.Other than that , he has captured a five wicket haul against St.Aloysius College, Galle (six for 27).In batting, he has knocked a total of 260 runs in 10 matches with his highest individual score against Isipatana College(86). He too plays for the under 19 national squad. This is his first year in D.S. under 19 team.

First year player and right arm fast bowler Suchintha Karunaratne, is an essential arm of D.S. bowling side , who has succeeded with 31 wickets in 11 matches with a best performance of four for 47 against Lumbini Maha Vidyalaya, Colombo.He also helps his squad to go for victories.

Left arm fast bowler Binura Fernando is another successful bowler of the side. He bagged a total of 24 wickets claiming a five wicket haul (six for 31) ,which was his best performance for the season. This is his first year being in the team.
