Solicitor General, President's Counsel Palitha Fernando has been appointed as the Acting Attorney General with effect from February 21, by President Mahinda Rajapaksa until Attorney General, President's Counsel Eva Wanasundera who is attending an official conference abroad returns to the country.

Attorney General, President's Counsel Eva Wanasundera will be representing Sri Lanka at the Human Rights Conference to be held in Geneva next week.
