LAUGFS invests in bottled water

LAUGFS Aqua Systems private Limited a subsidiary of the LAUGFS Supermarkets engaged in water bottling and distribution bottle water under 'LAUGFS Aqua' brand laid the foundation stone to build ultra-modern automated water bottling plant at Kottawa bordering Padukka yesterday. LAUGFS will invest Rs.45 m for the new project which would increase the company's production capacity to meet the increasing demand.

LAUGFS Chairman W K H Wegapitiya said that 'LAUGFS Aqua' having entered into the bottled water segment ten years ago and having identified the new economic prosperity in the country decided to expand its operations to become a leader in the bottled water sector in the country.
