Woman dead, father injured in jumbo attack

A trainee nurse died and her father was seriously injured when an elephant attacked them at Weligaththa, Hambantota yesterday morning.

M G Mihirani of Kudagammanaya, Weligaththa was a trainee nurse at the Hambantota Nurses Training School. She was riding a bicycle with her father when the elephant attacked them near Weligaththa School.
