Ceylinco Insurance Brand of the Year
Ceylinco Insurance, once again consolidating its pioneering position
in the Sri Lankan insurance industry, has been recognised as the eople's
Insurance Brand of the Year' for the sixth consecutive year. Initiated
in 2006, the concept of Peoples Award is unique and novel where people
are the primary and only source of deciding who the winners are across
the brands, organizations and personalities.

The People's Awards, conducted by the Sri Lanka Institute of
Marketing (SLIM) in association with Neilsen Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, recognise
and honour brands that have won the hearts of Sri Lankans. Having being
chosen for the People's Awards for the sixth year, Ceylinco Insurance
has reaffirmed its prestigious position as the most preferred Choice of
the People of Sri Lanka.
Following an extensive research criteria, the winning brands have
been selected over a period of five months stretching from September
2011 to January 2012. Over 2,700 people aged 18 to 50 yrs are
interviewed as a random sample from all nine provinces. Hence, the
results reflect the opinions of people from all regions and communities.
During the year 2011 , Ceylinco Insurance recorded a premium income
of Rs 19.8 billion out of which the General Division contributed Rs 10
billion with the Life Division contributing the balance Rs 9.8 billion.
This signifies an increase of Rs.1.8 billion over the previous year,
with the overall growth standing at 10%. At Ceylinco Insurance, we
consider winning this award as a benchmark that measures our corporate
success. It also determines how close we are to the people of Sri Lanka.
