Peshan hits 161

Peshan Anthony hit a superb knock of 161 runs for St. Sebastian’s College in their second XI under-19 annual cricket encounter against St. Anthony’s College Kandy which ended in a draw at Moratuwa recently.

Anthony’s century included 19 boundaries and four sixes. Then there were few supportive knocks from Anjuna Perera (36), Visal Dilshan (39), Thurulu Jayasuriya (39) and Nimesh Perera (30 not out) which lifted the home team’s total to 349 for 6 dec.

In reply, Anthonians were 167 for 6 at close with H. Gamage scoring 52 and Anjuna Perera taking 3 for 23.
