Old boys of Olcott schools to compete in Dubai
The fifth annual cricket encounter for the Colonel Henry Steel Olcott
Trophy and get together organized by the Old Boys of Ananda, Nalanda
Colombo, Dharmaraja - Kandy, Maliyadeva-Kurunegala, Rahula - Matara,
Dharmapala - Panniptiya, Mahinda - Galle and Dharmasoka - Ambalangoda,
in Dubai is scheduled for February 24. The matches are to be played in
Ajman Cricket Council Grounds in the United Arab Emirates commencing
from 7.00 a.m to 6.30 p.m.
This annual event has won the hearts of all Lankans and old boys of
the respective schools and their families in UAE where they get the
opportunity to meet and awaken their past memories of school days.
It is also an opportunity for their family members to enjoy a day
filled with fun and entertainment with a children’s match of old boys.
Last year Nalanda College Old Boys won the Championship Trophy while
the Champions Cup was won by the Ananda College Old Boys.
