Antonians hit back

St Anthony's College, Katugastota were well away on the first day of
their inter-school cricket match against D S Senanayake College, Colombo
which began at Katugastota yesterday.
St Anthony's College batting first were off to a shock start when
their prolific run getter Yohan Woods was dismissed in the first ball of
the match by medium pacer Sujintha Karunaratne. They hardly recovered
from this as wickets fell at regular intervals.
Leg spinner Supun Madusanka took 4 for 32, while Sujintha Karunaratne
who made the early breakthrough taking 3 for 44.
When D S Senanayake College batted, the Antonians hit back to have
their opponents groping, at 44 for 4
St Anthony's College 167 all out in 47.4 overs (Viraj Deepal 28,
Nimesha Gunasinghe 29, S Kavinda Pullukuttiarachchi 18, Kanishka
Ranaraja 16, Saranga Rajaguru 23, Romesh Macwin 12, Sujintha Karunaratne
3 for 44, Supun Madusanka 4 for 32).
D S Senanayake College 44 for 4 in 22.3 overs (Uwin Bandara 17,
Lasitha Abeyratne 17 n.o., K B Ranaraja 1 for 7, Tharaka Jayasinghe 1
for 5, Saranga Rajaguru 1 for 18, Sachin Bulathsinghala 1 for 11).
