Over 200,000 attend Deyata Kirula

More than 200,000 people visited the sixth Deyata Kirula national
exhibition at Oyamaduwa in the Maha Villachchiya Divisional Secretariat
in Anuradhapura yesterday.
According to Deyata Kirula Exhibition committee secretary Udaya
Senaviratne, more people are expected to visit the exhibition today. The
exhibition is the biggest Deyata Kirula exhibition to be conducted so
far. Among the daily features are daily parachute displays. Besides, the
three Armed Forces are also conducting numerous other events.
Sports competitions have also been organized. All ministries and
private sector organisations have established hundreds of stalls
throughout the exhibition site. Admission is free for school children
and teachers. Entrance for others is by purchasing a Rs.20 development
lottery ticket. |
