Have an affair with Chocolate

210 years and still in love...:

Mount Lavinia Hotel, the monument of love, between a colonial governor and a local dancing girl 210 years ago, has lined up some truly romantic events for Valentines Day on February 14. Whether it's a romantic dinner for two or a quiet evening with a loved one or a family get-together, we have something special for everyone, to celebrate this Valentines Day in style.


Everything is chocolate

From February 1 to the 29 at the Terrace - Chocolate Beverage Menu - as it's the month of passion and romance, a chocolate infused beverage menu will be available to all the chocoholics during the month at the Terrace. There will be also the Chocolate High Tea buffet with a selection of delectable chocolate treats that will satisfy all chocolate craving fans along with traditional afternoon Tea at the Governors Terrace.

Every Friday - Sunday of February there will be plenty of Truffles for couples to enjoy with a choice of chocolate beverage at the Terrace. There is also the Chocolate covered Sunday Jazz Brunch.

On February 12 at the Maitland State Room there is the Chocolate and Wine Pairing - Whether you are pairing a delicate white chocolate or a lively dark chocolate with wine, there are a few pairing tips to keep in mind. At the Horizon Rood Top couples can enjoy a Chocolate Dinner Extraordinaire that is a seven course menu to be enjoyed to the hearts content.


Chocolate affair at the Mount

On February 14 on the beach due to popular demand, after last year's resonant success, the hotel once again invites couples to experience absolute privacy and ultimate romance in specially created 'Lovers Hut". The love nests are for two persons, covered on three sides and only open toward the Indian Ocean offering lovers total seclusion. Limited Huts are available on a first come first served basis. Please make early reservations to avoid disappointment. There is also the Tree hut dinner for a romantic 7 course dinner in cabins built on stilts and opened to the ocean also on a first come first serve basis. The Symphony of Seafood also could be experienced for the couples wanting a quiet dinner on the beach while choosing ones own seafood and have it made in front of you at the Seafood Cove.

On February 21 at the Imperial Room guests can enjoy learning to mix Chocolate Martini - this will be an evening to gain tips on how to make your own chocolate martini's garnished with dark and white exotic chocolates. Learn to pour like a pro and mix like a master and take a tour of cacao producing countries.

Tucked away within the colonial grandeur of Mount Lavinia Hotel, Terrace is one of World's best gathering places.

The magic of a candle lit meal, offering a lavish spread with magnificent main courses, delightful desserts and aphrodisiacs at the Terrace. This will include not only a great gastronomical experience but also a memorable evening filled with good music and wine to put you in the mood.
