Heavy Bikes make Racing Stars go Wild
SAMAHA ISMATH ALI
Heavy bikes have regained their prestige over the years as more and
more people are becoming addicted to these hot, sporty vehicles due to
their performance and cutting looks. Long gone are the days when bikes
were thought to be rode only by vandals. In today's world, the ultimate
fashion is to possess a heavy bike and go joyriding on it. This
statement can be owed to the fact that there is a universally loved
sport that steers all this obsession-MotoGP.
Last week we brought into light the hottest bike of World-famous
producers Honda. Today the spotlight shines on another Giant firm in
producing competitive racing bikes, and their Best bike of the
times-Yamaha.

Jorge
Lorenzo in action on a Yamaha YZF-R1 |
The Yamaha YZF-R1 is unique. This bike has been designed especially
for the commemoration of the World GP 50th Anniversary, and only 2000
units of the bike will be produced throughout the world, making it a
one-of-a-kind machine. It has the GP logo above its fuel tank, and a
special number plate which shows the comparatively small number of bikes
in this model produced.
The Yamaha YZF-R1 has in it the new seven level traction system. This
system has been developed so that the rider does not feel any jerks when
riding or any harsh, abrasive intervention from the system. In addition,
traction control can aid in reducing tire wear due to less wheel spin.
Coupled with the three level D-Mode electronics throttle response
control, riders have 21 different choices available to tailor the YZF-R1
to their riding preference.
Yamaha has built their name over the years, thanks to veteran Italian
racer Valentino Rossi, winner of many titles. However, when he departed
the team last year to team up with Ducati Marlboro, Jorge Lorenzo and
Ben Spies took his place. Jorge is an ultra-amazing rider, having won
many titles and even the main one of MotoGP overall winner. He recently
tried his bike out at the New Delhi racetrack, which was built to ensure
quality racing in India and also provide a spot for the official MotoGP
events.
The Yamaha YZF-R1 is one bike which will bring forward the true
powers of a Yamaha. The MotoGP riders using the bike will not only
increase the popularity of the bike, but also their Team Performance.
Lorenzo and Spies are currently riding the Yamaha YZR-M1, an equally
amazing model, but they have expressed their views on the machine as one
which they look forward to riding.
Racing is all about dedication. Walking hand-in-hand with this fact
comes the fervour that attaches one to the bike's inner personality.
Communication with the bike is important, and the Yamaha YZF-R1 is
comprehensive and amazingly incredible. This bike certainly brings about
the desire to ride with the whole heart, as Yamaha provides you with
rider safety for 2012.
