An opening stand of 139 between Ruwan Bandara 112 (18 fours 1 six 99 balls) and skipper Niluksha Galapitage 41 (6 fours) helped Vidyartha College to total 344 all on the opening day of their schools under 19 cricket tournament match against Wayamba Royal College, Kurunegala which began at Open Prison Camp grounds, Pallekele yesterday.

Vidyartha College 344 all out in 64.2 over (Ruwan Bandara 112, Niluksha Galapitage 41, Sheran Buddhika 45, Isuru Weerasinghe 67, Chanaka Ratnayake 16 not out, Muditha Elpitiya 12, Nayomal Panditha 5 for 89, Hasanka Lahiru 2 for 39).

Wayamba Royal College 72 for 1 in 12 overs (Hasanka Lahiru 27, Nayomal Panditha 27 not out, Yasodh Kavinda 11 not out).
