Nalanda in innings win

Nalanda College helped by a fine knock of 112 runs by Ishan Rangana inclusive of 14 boundaries beat Thurstan College by an innings and 56 runs in their inter schools under 19 match concluded at Panagoda yesterday.

Thurstan College were skittled out for 105 in their first innings. Right hander Minhaj Jaleel scored 33 runs while Ashan Wanigaratne scored 27. Pramud Hettiwatte was the main wrecker with six wickets for 15. Nalanda scored 289 in 70.5 overs in their innings. Ishan Rangana made 112 while Koshan Dhanushka scored 63 runs. Kavindu Silva was the most successful bowler with five for 79. Thurstanites were skittled out for a paltry 128 runs in 46 overs in their second innings. Sanjeewa Salgado made 33 runs, well supported by Ashan Wanigaratne( 27). Kusal Dias was the main destroyer with five wickets for 24 runs.
