Steep gas price rise amid tensions

International gas prices have risen by US dollars 151 per/ton, the highest gas price rise in history, market sources said.

Whereas earlier a ton of gas fetched US dollars 880, the price now stands at US dollars 1031.

Commenting on the reasons for this steep rise, sources said that the rising tensions in the Gulf region, where the West is attempting to pressurize Iran, accounted for it most.
