‘Good communication vital for business success’

She said the nature of business may have changed dramatically and
continues to change yet the basic principles of human interaction have
remained the same. Given the changes in today’s world and business
environment, good communication and interpersonal skills are more
crucial now than ever before.
Law said that there are opportunities in every industry to grow and
everyone’s experience in the company counts to move forward. However,
identifying each one’s capability and talents is very vital in this
effort.
Law said Sri Lankans are good listeners, very understanding and well
focused and could strike the balance of the given task. Therefore, the
practical advice and proven techniques have the potential to turn around
their relationships and make their lives more rewarding. It is all about
how they create and build relationships.
She said emotionally intelligent people communicate better and more
successfully than others. Emotional Intelligence or the ability to
perceive, assess and manage the emotions is a hot topic in today’s
workplace that can help managers and employees alike successfully to
communicate, resolve conflict and improve workplace productivity.
She said communication gaps and clashes can do serious damage to
teams and some organizations damage cooperation of the best people by
diverting energy from productive work.
