LAUGFS Lubricants rewards distributors, dealers
LAUGFS Lubricants Limited (LLL) a subsidiary of the LAUGFS Holdings
Limited honoured its lubricant distributors and dealers with awards for
their great performance in the year 2011.

Accordingly LAUGFS Lubricants awards ceremony for the year 2011 was
held at the LAHES auditorium at West Tower Level 22 World Trade Centre
recently.
Chairman of the LAUGFS Lubricants W.K.H Wegapitiya said that LAUGFS
Lubricants is the only Sri Lankan company to get international standard
certificates and endorsement certificate from Daimler Mercedes Benz of
Germany.
"We are the first Sri Lankan company to enter into the lubricant
industry in Sri Lanka after completion of three years in the industry,
now geared to enter into next the level of our operations that is to
start up our own blending facility in the country," he said.
Chairman also said that at present after a long lapse Sri Lanka is
heading into new era of development and Sri Lankan business are poised
to grow into greater levels.
In that sense in terms of the lubricant industry concern the
registration of the motor vehicles are also increasing drastically.
"Every half an hour there is a new motor bicycle coming onto the
street and it is the same with motor vehicles. This mainly is due to the
new economic prosperity taking place in the country. We see a great
potential in the Sri Lankan economy. Being the only Sri Lankan company
in the lubricant industry we also see a great potential in the
industry," he said.
LAUGFS Lubricants Limited Managing Director U.K. Thilak de Silva
addressing the ceremony said today LAUGFS brand has become a household
name among the general public.
"As a Sri Lankan company we have brought honour to Sri Lankans in
terms of our presence of our brand in every sector in Sri Lanka. During
this year we are hoping to introduce many changes in our operations and
in that sense we are planning set up our own blending plant at
Hambantota port in order to offer good quality for a range of products
for the Sri Lankan market and the export market.
"Accordingly we are in a better position to produce the whole range
of products at our facility," he said. He also expressed his gratitude
to all the distributors and dealers for being with LAUGFS from day one
and said that the future is very much positive in terms of industry
growth and market growth. |
