Mundalama police raided a large scale kasippu distillery at Rathmalagaswewa on Monday and arrested a suspect believed to be its owner.

Police also seized 900 bottles of distilled spirits containing 7,200 drams and several distilling equipment. The suspect was due to be produced in court.

Investigations are continuing.
