Two die in crash

Two people succumbed to their injuries after the motorcycle they were riding, collided with a lorry at Thamitawewa, Anamaduwa on Monday.

The motorcycle was travelling from Thamitawewa to Anamaduwa when it collided with a lorry heading in the opposite direction.

A H M Lalith Sanjeewa, 24, who was seriously injured, died on admission to Anamaduwa Hospital the same day. The pillion rider, Dilusha Nuwan Bandara of Kottukachchiya died at the Kurunegala Hospital yesterday. Anamaduwa Police arrested the lorry driver. He was due to be produced before the Anamaduwa Magistrate Court yesterday.
