Murder suspects remanded

Five suspects in the murder of former Dr Asanka Prasad Jayasinghe of District Hospital, Karandeniya were produced before Asanka Shamel Bodaragama, Magistrate Balapitiya. They were further remanded until today.

This brutal assassination took place at the doctor's home a few months ago in Karandeniya.

The suspects were brought by prison officers of Kalutara under heavy police protections to Balapitiya.
