He said so when he attended a ceremony held at the Deyata Kirula exhibition grounds to mark the distribution of roofing tiles among low income families on Sunday.

Nearly, 2,500 low income group families in the Anuradhapura West electorate received roofing tiles at this ceremony as part of a programme to provide roofing tiles free of charge to 50,000 families in the region.

Among the projects to commence in the venue after the conclusion of the exhibition will be a garment factory, vocational training centres and technical colleges for imparting new technology to youth.
