Australia Savari a success:

Maliban Kiri records highest growth

Maliban Kiri, made from 100% fresh cow’s milk from Australia, has rapidly created a revolution in the highly competitive milk powder market. It recorded the highest growth in 2011 in the milk powder industry which comprises two multinational companies and seven other national companies. Some of these companies has been in the market for over fifty years.

Sri Lankan corporate has achieved this phenomenal growth in competition with all these companies is a very significant achievement. Founder A G A Hinniappuhamy said that consumers should be offered the best standards, the best quality and the best nutrition at an affordable price. His directive to his team was to manufacture and market only what should be fit for consumption. When Maliban Milk was launched, consumers took to it instantly.

The reason was trust and today Maliban Milk has triumphantly reaffirmed that trust by becoming the first milk food company in Sri Lanka to be awarded the ISO Certifications trinity; ISO 9001, ISO 22000 and ISO 14001 from the Sri Lanka Standards Institution.

Behind this success stand the consumers who expect only the best and to show gratitude to these loyal and valuable customers, Maliban Milk Products (Pvt) Limited initiated a massive competition titled Maliban Kiri Australia Savari. This competition which ran during the past four months was an unprecedented success with tens of thousands of consumers participating by sending a record number of coupons.

“This massive Maliban Kiri promotion programme has had unprecedented support from consumers and this speaks volumes about the trust that the consumers has about the Maliban Milk Company and the quality of Maliban Kiri which is made from 100% fresh cow’s milk” states Maliban Milk Products (Pvt) Ltd Head of Sales and Marketing Nalinda Jayamanne. He also stated that because of this success of the Maliban Milk promotion programme, they are now able to expand their premier CSR project, the brilliantly initiated Maliban ‘Abhayadana’ campaign so that more innocent milch cow’s can be saved from slaughter. The blessings from these kind deeds will not only come on the company but also upon our consumers and the company is thankful to them for their support, he further stated.

The monthly draws of the Maliban Kiri Australia Savari competition was telecast live at the Nugasevana programme and the competition came to a close December 2011.

The company is poised to enter the second phase of this massive promotional programme, and it is also gearing up to introduce more high quality milk products under the Maliban banner in the near future, he further stated.
