Rotary International Golf in Kandy

The beautiful Vitoria Golf Course at Rajawella will go gay when the fourth Annual Rotary International Gold Championship 2012 organized by the Rotary Club of Kandy and the Victoria Golf and Country Resort gets underway this Saturday, January 21 at 9 am and will be off to a shot gun start.

This will be the first major championship for the current year and over fifty men and women golfers have confirmed their participation upto last week and more entries are expected to come in during the next few days.

The organizers have added an extra event this year by organizing an event for the Novices which will help the beginners to compete with golfers of their standard and also to help them to pick the game.

The presentation of awards ceremony will take place later in the Club House of Victoria at 7.30 pm with some of the leading figures of the Rotary International like District Governor S Rajan, Ravana Wijeratne and Ms Gowri Rajan of the Kandy Rotary Club.
