Campaign to eradicate dengue

Centre for Peace Studies Director S L Riyas has launched a dengue eradication campaign by involving students of all schools in the Sammanthurai Pradeshiya Sabha area, members of the PS Public Health Inspectors and residents.

They will inspect houses in the PS area, distribute leaflets and enlist the support of the public to maintain a mosquito free environment outside and within their homes.

Residential areas such as Malayadi Grammam, Villinayadi and Sennei Grammam were cleaned up. Coconut and king coconut shells, plastic bottles, tyres left lying around in gardens were removed.
