Nestle launches hot MAGGI Noodles Devilled range

Internationally acclaimed youth icon, Bollywood actress, Sri Lankan beauty queen and superstar, Jacqueline Fernandez, is the brand ambassador of Nestle's new hot MAGGI Noodles Devilled range - Devilled Chicken, Devilled Kotthu and Devilled Chilli Chicken.

Nestle's latest innovation, its first for 2012, has used its world renowned R&D expertise to develop these new noodle products in line with local home recipes and typical Sri Lankan flavours popular with local youth. With in-depth consumer research indicating that hot and spicy food, mainly in the 'devilled' form is a high favourite amongst local youth, MAGGI Noodles' new scintillating flavours also come with additional sachets of savoury sauce and spicy oil for that added fiery zest, taste and aroma.

MAGGI Noodles has been a Sri Lankan household favourite for over 25 years and is trusted by generations across the country. Traditionally the product has catered to entire families, ranging from children to adults. "However, as one of Sri Lanka's leading nutrition, health and wellness companies, we are constantly innovating and renovating to make our products more relevant to our consumers in line with evolving trends and needs," said Nestle Lanka PLC AVP - Food Priyadarshinie Karunaratne.

"MAGGI Noodles is a brand that has found a place in the hearts of Sri Lankan adults and children alike. Its strong brand equity encouraged us to develop a new range of instant noodle products for youth with new indigenous flavours to cater to changing consumer needs. NCE to appoint Trade Representatives in overseas markets

The NCE has embarked on a programme to appoint Trade Representatives in important overseas markets to assist member companies to develop export business in such markets. The appointments are being made from among several well-qualified and experienced applicants in the particular markets with good credentials and business contacts.

The objective of the programme is to enable NCE member companies to make use of the services of the Trade Representatives for business and market development to enable them to promote and expand the export of their products and services in overseas markets.

The Chamber will also make use of their services for logistical support when participating in trade fairs and related trade promotion activities, such as the organization of inward and outward business promotion delegations, contact promotion programmes, buyer seller meetings, etc.

The terms and conditions on which appointments are made, and the work to be carried out by selected Trade Representatives have been clearly defined by the Chamber. The Chamber has entered into MOUs with the selected Trade Representatives incorporating such terms and conditions. Member companies who make use of their services are required to conform to the terms and conditions.

The Chamber has already appointed Trade Representatives for the USA market, South African market and the Australian market. Appointments are also proposed to be made shortly for certain countries in the Middle Eastern market. New and emerging markets which will be of strategic importance to Sri Lanka in the evolving world trade scenario will also receive particular attention of the Chamber when appointing Trade Representatives.

With the objective of providing banking services with more convenience to customers and on account of the Golden Jubilee of People's Bank, Kaduwela Branch has been relocated at a new two storied building with total banking solutions and it was opened recently by the mayor of Kaduwela G H Buddhadasa. People's Bank, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager N Vasantha Kumar, Deputy General Manager (Operation-I) G G C Ariyarathna (DGM Operations - II) - Bonifus Silva, Zonal Assistant General Manager (Western Zone - II) - Sunil De Saram, Provincial Council Member - Trincomalee A Galappaththi, Kaduwela Divisional Secretary N S P Sooriyapperuma, the City Commissioner of the Urban Council Gamini Gunasekara, Nawagamuwa OIC M C Mahagedara and several other Urban Councillors in the area, dignitaries and a large gathering of customers participated in this ceremony.
