Police Anura Senanayake yesterday assumed duties as Colombo Division
Senior DIG. Senior DIG Anura Senanayake who is an old boy of St.
Servatius, College, Matara, joined the Police Department in October
15, 1973.

Bharatha shooting: suspects further remanded
Sixteen of the twenty suspects who are alleged
to have been involved in the shooting incident of Presidential Trade
Union Advisor and former Colombo District Parliamentarian Bharatha
Lakshman Premachandra were yesterday further remanded till January
31, 2012 by Colombo Additional Magistrate Prasanna Alwis.
