Tea production increases in November 2011

The Sri Lanka Tea Board announced that, the total reported production of tea in Sri Lanka during November 2011, amounted to 31,225,907 kg as against 27,951,260 kg, produced during the corresponding month in 2010. This shows an increase of 3,274,647 kg or 11.7%.

The total tea production during the period January to November 2011 amounted to 302,136,737 kg, as against 304,102,322 kg, produced during the corresponding period of 2010, shows a decrease of 1,965,585 kg or 0.6%.
