NSB launches activities for new year

The National Savings Bank (NSB) ceremoniously started its functions and activities for the year 2012 on January 2 at the head office, in Kollupitiya.

The occasion, which got under way with the blessings of multi religious programmes, was attended by NSB Chairman Pradeep Kariyawasam, Working Director Sumanadasa Abeygunawardana, GM and CEO H. M. Hennayake Bandara, the newly appointed Additional General Manager who assumed duties on that day, T. M. K. Bandara, Senior Deputy General Manager Dhammika Perera, and the DGMM of the Bank, K. Raveendran, Jagath Gamanayake, Thulasi Samarasinghe, Kithsiri Wijeyaratne and Anula Jayasinghe along with Head of Risk and Compliance S. R. Gunathilake, Assistant General Managers, together with higher management of the bank and the members of the staff .

The declaration of 40th anniversary year of NSB for the staff was also ceremoniously symbolized at this occasion. This occasion was also made more colourful with a cultural performance produced by the team of Sri Lanka Army.

On the first working day of the year 2012, BoC Ratmalana branch ceremonially commenced business activities for the New Year.
