A friendly cricket match between Mazenodian doctors, lawyers and
pharam promoters was held at the newly constructed Mazenodian Cricket
grounds at Kandana on Saturday. The welcome speech was delivered by Old
Mazenodian Doctors' Association President Dr. Shamintha Amaratunga Old
Mazenodian Lawyers' Association President Senior Attorney Vernon Cooray
addressing the opening ceremony said that De Mazenod College for the
last eight years had produced 100 doctors and 50 lawyers and they are
spread all over the world and performing an excellent job to the world
community.

President Sandaruwan Fernando and Old Mazenodian Sports Co-ordinator Dr.
Nuwan Jayamaha also addressed the ceremony.
Vote of thanks was delivered by Old Mazenodian Doctors' Association
Secretary Dr.Vipula Saparamadu.
