Excise Department Anti-Narcotics Bureau officials yesterday arrested
a drug dealer with heroin weighing 450g valued at Rs 4 million near the
Orugodawatta bridge planning to distribute them in Colombo during the
festive season.
Excise Department Superintendent Prabhath Jayawickrama said that they
recovered a scale used to weigh drugs and Rs 25,000 from the suspect’s
possession.
The suspect was to be produced before the Maligakanda magistrate
yesterday.
