Hotels and hospitality are two inter-related words which go along
with each other hand in hand. These two features will be brought to
stage when Lanka Exhibition and Conference Services Ltd brings the Hotel
Show 2012 on stage at the BMICH from July 13 to 15, 2012.

Showcasing for the seventh consecutive year, this mega hospitality
extravaganza caters to a wide array of segments in connection with the
hospitality industry.
Products and services which are directly and indirectly related to
the hotel trade will be exhibited at the event.
It's dubbed as the biggest and most comprehensive hospitality fiesta
in South East Asia.
Speaking at the event unveiling the team's plans Sri Lanka Tourism
Development Authority Chairman Dr Nalaka Godahewa said that the country
has seen over a 30 percent growth in the tourism industry this year.
It will become a $1 billion industry at the end of next year as the
present arrival trend continues.
"Things are changing for the better and we need to provide a better
service to visitors.
One of the most effective means of increasing the tourist arrivals is
through the words of those who have already visited the country.
They will spread the message and many others will be motivated to
visit the island due to the positive feedback," Dr Godahewa added.
The Hotel Show 2012 participants will include segments such as in
room technology, laundry, air conditioning, software systems,
architecture, gardening, landscaping, outdoor furniture, swimming pools,
waste management and many more. It also comprises a street food festival
together with comprehensive training programmes.
"The current stability of Sri Lanka's tourism had stirred a lot of
interest among the travellers and investors. Sri Lanka is one of the
most desired tourist destinations today.
The Hotel Show will provide the best and most comprehensive platform
for all segments related to the hospitality industry," the Hotel Show
Organising Committee Chairman Trevine Gomez said. |
