Standard cycle race to be conducted

In parallel to the Tour De Sri Lanka Racing Cycle Competition of the National Youth Services Council, the Minister of Youth Affairs and Skills Development Dullas Alahapperuma has decided to conduct a standard cycle race also.

This is open to any cyclist in any part of the country. The Champion will be rewarded with Rs 100,000 in cash. The 1st runner up will be presented Rs 75,000 and the 2nd runner-up will get Rs 50,000 in cash. 4th placed Rs 25,000 and 5th placed Rs 15,000.

Further to those rewards the NYSC will present from 6th to 10th, Rs 10,000, from 11th to 15th Rs 7,500 and from 21st to 25th Rs 5,000 each. The competitors are requested to be present at the Library premises of Batticaloa with a self prepared application form at 6.30 am.

The route is as follows, Batticaloa, Kattankudy, Padirippu, Kalmunai Samanthurai via Ampara.
