Former Chief Justice Sarath N Silva should bear responsibility for the current decimation of the United National Party, UNP Parliamentarian Dayasiri Jayasekera said. The former Chief Justice who today says there is no strong Opposition, was the person who gave judgements that spelt the destruction of the UNP, he said.

"The damage done to the judiciary when Sarath N Silva was the Chief Justice cannot be reversed." The MP said so during the committee stage debate in Parliament yesterday.
