Deyata Kirula development activities speeded up

The Agrarian Services Department has accelerated development activities come under the 'Deyata Kirula' - 2012 infrastructural development programme. Anuradhapura Deputy Agrarian Commissioner Ruwan Ratnayake told the Daily News that the surveying in connection with the 100 tanks rehabilitation programme was in progress.

The department will spend Rs 200 million for the project.

A six acre model farm consisting of a scientifically cultivated farm, a traditional chena cultivation and the model of an ancient village centre is also being created, Ratnayake said.
