Old Dutch Hospital, a shopping complex

The Old Dutch Hospital in Fort has been turned into a sophisticated shopping complex without harming its archaeological and architectural value by the Urban Development Authority (UDA). It will be opened tomorrow by Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa and Defence and Urban Development Ministry Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.

The ancient Dutch Hospital which had been abandoned for a long period was transformed into a shopping complex under the Colombo Development Scheme initiated on the directives of the Defence Ministry.
