Ex-SLC president to meet cricket controlling body reps

Former Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) chairman Thilanga Sumathipala has called on all cricket associations for a meeting which will be held at Colombo Cricket Club from 10.00 am to discuss a possible campaign tomorrow for the forthcoming SLC elections which will be held on December 27. The invitations had been handed over to presidents of the respective controlling clubs, including ministers Dilan Perera (Badulla), Duminda Dissanayake (Anuradhapura) and Maithreepala Sirisena (Polonnaruwa).

There are 29 controlling clubs, 23 affiliated clubs, 22 district associations, five provincial cricket associations and six other associations. There are two votes for each of these associations and clubs except for 23 affiliated clubs who enjoy only one vote.
