Annesley Malawana launches Kiyambu Latha

Annesley Malawana released his new CD titled Kiyambu Latha for the upcoming season. His last album was released in 2006 to celebrate his 40 years of music. After five years he has made a comeback with Kiyambu Latha which will be appreciated by all his fans and music lovers of the 70s. He has made it a point not to change his style of music on the latest CD and all of the songs are keeping the 70s style of music.

In the new album the lyrics were by Chadralal Fonseka, Theja Iddamalgoda, Saman Gonalagoda, Prashan Fernando, Premalal Arsakularatne, Shelton Weeraratne and Premasiri Balachandra. The music was composed by Chandralal Fonseka, Theja Iddamalgoda and Prashan Fernando, the music was also directed by Chandralal and produced by Sarath Kotalawala of Torana Music Box. Nelu Adikari and Shyami Fonseka joined in for the duets.

Annesley adds that it's a good to come out with something whilst keeping his style of singing. He hopes to sing a few of the songs in the album during the upcoming season - which are sure to dominate the market and greatly enjoyed by the young and the old.
