Hockey coach Leelananda for Malaysia

Leelananda Ittapana one of the Senior Hockey coaches of Sri Lanka and Co-coach of the Sri Lanka Senior Men's Team has been selected by the Asian Hockey Federation to participate in the special training course of Coach Educators to be held in IPOH, Malaysia from November 22 to December 3, 2011.

Ittapana has followed several high performance courses conducted by the FIH in South Africa (2003), Pakistan (2004), Netherlands (2005), India-World Cup Coaching Course in 2010.

After assessing his progress during the previous programmes Ittapana has been included in the Master Data Base of Coaches of the FIH.

At present he is the Head Coach of the Mercantile Hockey Association (MHA), Ananda College, Wesley College and Musaeus College.
