'Sri Lanka going through dramatic development process'

Sri Lanka is going through a dramatic development process and it has
to be planned to be a 50 billion economy by 2016. Commercial Bank
Chairman Mahendra Amarasuriya said at the launch of the BRC Lanka
website.
He said that learning is a life long experience. The world is
changing so fast and it is necessary to continue with learning
experience.
Amarasuriya said that HR is very vital in this development process of
the country. Tourism will be one of the best areas of opportunity and
training of people to match the global up market is extremely important
he said.
He hoped the BRC Lanka will be able to cater to this requirement.
BRC Lanka partnered with BRC UK recently and will present two
distinct programmes for the business and educational markets on December
8 and 9 at Hilton Residencies Colombo.
BRC Lanka partner the former United Motors Managing Director Anil
Wijesinghe said the programme titled Leader 21. Intelligent Leadership
for the 21 Century will cover three key challenges namely cultural,
emotional and strategic intelligence.
BRC Business Development Manager Alan George said that there will be
a session for teachers under the theme "Room to grow" which will explore
four key themes creating stimulating learning environment, accelerated
learning principles and practice, learning styles and preferences and
classroom management and organization.
