English Premier League:

The Toon Army and The Canaries

The weekends at St. Jame's Park are feared. The 'Magpies' are ready to take on any team, anywhere as they rev themselves up for Premier League Race. They are prepared to scare any side, score any number of goals, and even bring the Premier League table down with a roar if necessary. This flowery, yet threatening introduction is dedicated to black-and-white side Newcastle United, currently in third position on the Premier League table.

The team, mentored by manager Alan Pardew, is a very steady and skilled side. They compromise of a very talented set of players, all from different nations, religions, colours, and abilities. Manger Pardew believes that this mixture of players is a lucky charm for his side. He also states that unity is essential in all walks of life, including a team sport like football.

Newcastle United were new to the Premier League in 2010, as they were promoted from the npower football series, being on top of the table. They have sharpened their football skills lately, and are now among the most dangerous sides in the English Premier League. They are tough survivors and battlers on the field, and have their own set of tricky moods to follow. Their team is based on raw skill, and they perform their best while displaying numerous victories on the field.

The Magpies have a record of seven wins out of eleven games so far this season. This has definitely boosted the team's confidence and increased their morale. This has also made the entire side perform better at each game, and thus this admirable feat of theirs has made Manager Pardew proud of his Toon Army. At the same time, looking at the team's past, he has stated that their luck cannot get any better than this, for Newcastle was spluttering last season.

Their comeback has been great, and the Magpies have had a colourful time being among the top five this season. They have a stinted advantage over former top teams like Arsenal and Liverpool, and this fact has increased their team power and performance in torrents.

Manager Alan Pardew regards all in his team as equal, but still, the spotlight is shone on a few remarkable players. When you think of the best player in the famous club Newcastle United, the names appear across your mind like shooting stars. An immediate choice is Yohan Cabaye. Being a fresher to the side, Cabaye was purchased this season in July from former club Lille.

Yohan Cabaye had immediate success at St. Jame's Park. He has contributed to the side with his fast-paced goals and excellent passes. His well-aimed-at goals suggest his astounding performance, and The Magpies have no regret in buying the experienced footballer for their side. A commentary on the team's performance stated that Newcastle have indeed benefited from the top gun's remarkable playing. He has never made his Manager and team look back at their starry past which was filled with glamour in the npower Series, and has tried his level best to keep up with their former victorious past.

Cabaye states that he is indeed gifted to have joined the side, and stresses on the fact that he feels the team is like home to him, and he is a member of the large family it encases within. His positive outlook towards the team has also helped himself snuggle warmly and play with his right mind even in the toughest of Premier League conditions.

The team is captained by strong willed and most energetic footballer Fabricio Coloccini. The side has experienced a season of immense victory under the leadership of this qualified footballer, who also plays for his national team of Argentina. He us trusted by the rest of his team, as they all have the hope that one day he will help them raise the Premier League Trophy.

Another one of Newcastle's top players is Cheick Tiote, purchased in August 2010 from FC Twente. He is an Ivorian, and plays for their National side as well. This extraordinary player is one of those among the various nationalities in Newcastle's mix. He was noticed as an 'amazing kicker and scorer of goals' by many football pundits. Tiote is a single body amongst those who bring Newcastle fame. Tiote is well known for his bullet speed and strength in cutting across the field. He is among the best players in the Premier League, and this has made him one of the most sought-after players this season.

'Football comes with practice and commitment'-this is one motto Newcastle lives by. They believe that football is not theory or textbook, but plenty of effort mingled with weekly games as well as during practice sessions. This strong faith in team effort and football practice has boosted Newcastle United's player performances, both as individuals and as a team.

Newcastle United possesses a good number of precise strikers, all with their own array of abilities. Currently being only three points behind Manchester United, the team enjoys a comfortable place on the table. Newcastle have the potential to go far, the strength to climb higher, and the determination to win the game. Let us see where the 'Toon Army' takes us to, as victory with plenty of practice lies on their shoulders, not as a burden, but as an ardent wish.

Norwich city

Lemon yellow and dark green, think they are a joke, or a team out of a circus? Certainly not. Norwich City are not as mild as they may look. They can be like a hot mug of coffee on a sunny day, or like cold water on a cold day itself. However way, the new club creates enough mayhem to cause fear on the football field.

The team was promoted to the English Premier League just in 2011, making them absolute newcomers to the league. This fact also made them look like an infant side, and they were brought in along with Swansea and Queens Park Rangers. Among the three sides, Norwich has been the most successful, creating a huge impact as a new team. Though Norwich may be still new, they have adapted themselves to the English Premier League, preparing for battle at any cost.
