Central Province U-15 inter-provincial champs
Central Province under 15 cricket team led by Hansamal Perera made
the province proud by winning the inter provincial Under 15 Prima Cup 50
over tournament, by defeating the strong Western Province North City XI
by five wickets in the final played at the R. Premadasa Stadium.

The best batsman of the tournament was Thimira Jayasinghe of Western
Province North team (258 Runs -Ave 43) while WPN outer's Janith
Wijesuriya was named as the best bowler of the tournament for his 15
Wickets in 3 matches.
Player of the tournament was Pathum Madhusanka (WP North - 236 Runs
-10 Wickets) The Prima Group, in partnership with Sri Lanka Cricket,
commenced the Under 15 inter-district and inter provincial cricket
Tournament in October 2011.
There were 26 district teams and 10 provincial teams played in the
tournament.
Prima will continue to develop junior cricket in Sri Lanka and will
which will go beyond this tournament.
As always Prima will provided all teams with total nutrition and
cricket gear while all teams received professional guidance from SLC
coaches. |
